For most individuals holding a management position, they have not been provided with any leadership training. Like parents holding a newborn baby, the handbook was not included and many assume they can handle the new responsibilities.
Leadership training and development are critical to ensuring that one’s own goals or an organization’s vision and goals are accomplished. Everyone can be a leader and at sometime in our personal or professional lives, we have been called upon or had the opportunity to step up to a leadership challenge.
We have designed several leadership development workshops that bring leaders of business together to learn about leadership and their individual impact on results. Our Leadership Program ties the strategic plan and leadership requirements together. The focus of the program is to:
1) Enhance team communication and connection between managers of the leadership team
2) Understand and honor individual manager’s leadership styles
3) Incorporate personal assessments and 360 reviews where available
4) Empower managers as leaders with new tools and a clear understanding of their impact and influence on the employees they lead
5) Gain clarity on the leaders contribution to the bottom line, what is the quantifiable measure of their results
Strengthening leadership talent is critical to any organization. I am a firm believer of the statement made by John C. Maxwell,
“Leadership develops daily, not in a day.”
To ensure that the leadership principles and tools presented in our programs are understood and used by participants, our leadership development workshops are grouped into four three-hour session programs over a four-week or three-month period. Each participant in our leadership programs receive a workbook with the lessons presented, tools used and other resources cited. Each participant also receives a personal assessment outlining their Thinking Style, Behavioral Traits and Occupational Interests. The leadership training programs are referred to as workshops because work is required by each participant – they are asked to sign an agreement to commit to do the work identified during the program to ensure maximum benefit from our time together. Workshops can be designed to include a comprehensive 360 review and one to one coaching sessions.

This series is very dynamic! It’s presented in a building block manner. It takes anyone that wants to increase their leadership potential by the hand, and gently leads them down an easy to follow path, that guides one to becoming a better, stronger, more caring, more compassionate leader.
The series is lead by Susan E. West. Susan gives of her insightful knowledge, on this subject matter as she gives of herself, that being from the heart. She’s caring, concerned and extremely knowledgeable on how to increase ones leadership abilities.
